WILLS POINT, TX – KP Yohannan, founder of Gospel for Asia (GFA World), whose heart to love and help the poor has inspired numerous charities like Gospel for Asia Canada, and Metropolitan of Believers Eastern Church — shares the poem ‘Live Every Second’ as we step into a new year.

Time—the one thing
We cannot make
Nor can it be ignored.

“Time, please wait,” we can’t say,
For time rushes on.

A new year—a gift of God. Live every second in the light of eternity - by K.P. Yohannan

A new year—a gift of God. Live every second in the light of eternity – K.P. Yohannan

Another year just flew
Under the bridge.

Year of Kairos in the
River of Chronos
While you worked or slept.

Seconds and minutes—
Minutes become hours
And hours become days
Days become months
12 months become a year.

You say, “I can’t believe”
“A year flew by”
A new year—a gift of God.

Live every second
In the light of eternity.

Time rushes on
To an ocean of timelessness.

What you do in time
Will matter when time is no more.

Be kind, be optimistic, forget the past, embrace hope.

This is the best year of your life.

Act as if it already happened. It will.

About Gospel for Asia

Gospel for Asia is a Christian-based charity serving the “least of these” in Asia since its beginning in 1979, often in places where no one else is serving. GFA World workers serve as the hands and feet of Christ by ministering to people’s needs so they can understand the love of God for them for the first time. GFA World is engaged in dozens of projects, such as caring for poor children, slum dwellers and widows and orphans; providing clean water by funding wells; supporting medical missions; and meeting the needs of those in leprosy colonies. Through GFA World’s Bridge of Hope Program, tens of thousands of children are being rescued from the generational curses of poverty and hopelessness.
