I heard about a dog
who was hit by a car
driven by a doctor
on his way to work.
Stopping the car,
he got out and saw
the whining dog
with a broken leg.
He took the dog with him
to his clinic nearby
bound up the wound
gave some food.
In a few weeks
the dog was well.
Now it became a custom
for the dog to visit
the doctor at work and
they became friends.
A few months later,
the doctor heard a scratch
from the rear door
of his clinic.
He opened the door
and saw his friend
who brought a dog
with a broken leg.
From the look in his eyes
the doctor knew the tale:
he had brought his friend
to get him well.
You have been made whole
by the Master’s touch;
now go find the hurting
and bring them to Christ.
