Stranger in my own world I am
Like a child lost in the crowd
Lost in the desert
Lost in nothing
Lightning strike deep in my heart
I am so afraid.
Stranger in my own land I am
Like the prodigal all alone
Friends I thought were there
But now I know it was not so
And I am left alone all is lost
I am so afraid.
Stranger in my own lotus
Of dreams and hopes
I thought would satisfy
Sun went down
Petals closed up
Is there a way out?
I am so afraid.
Stranger in my own world no more
For you, my Lord—came in
Afraid I was to open the door
But Your love made it open
Darkness fled
I am free
Found life in love
Full of grace
I am no more alone.
