Dear Jesus,
Thank You
For the air we breathe,
The wonder of seeing and hearing
For big toes and small
that help us stand up straight
For hands
to write and touch,
The gifts of smell and taste.
Thank You
For clothes to wear
Food to eat
House to live in
Bed to sleep on
Pillow for my head
Sheet to cover me.
Clean water
Soap to clean myself
Toothpaste to brush with
Comb to run through my hair.
Thank You
For friends I have
Parents who love
Neighbors
School and college
Teachers who guide.
Books to read
Buses and trains
Bicycles.
Wife
Husband
Children.
Church
And those who pray for me.
Oh, Lord, thank You
For angels guarding me
Safety on the road
Bad dreams that don’t happen.
When I think of Your love
For me,
Your Son dying in my place
Forgiving my sins
saving my soul
Healing me
I thank You.
