It is late
I am alone
In my room
Far away
from my home.
No phone to ring
No one to visit
My door is locked
It is dark.
I get up
Walk to the window
Stand by it
And stare at the sky.
Silent night
Stars shimmer
Then clouds move in
To cover their beauty.
Through the clouds
One star smiles
Whispers to my heart,
“I am the star
That led the shepherds
To the manger
In Bethlehem.”
Emmanuel
Lamb of God
Slain for me
Rose again
He is here
With me now
I am not alone
Never will be.

This is a wonderful reminder that we are never alone, something I did not know as I was growing up,or I probably would have been much less fearful than I was. I have only had Jesus and My Father and the Holy Spirit in my life for about 17 years, but I gave away all fear in 2003 when I realized I had nothing to be fearful about, the worse that could happen would be for me to die, and since I knew my soul would be in heaven, that was nothing to be fearful about. I knew at that moment that I only had to call out to God and He would hear me and even answer me if I needed Him to. I am truly blessed to be a child of God.
