The line is thrown
with the bait on the hook
by the fishermen
to catch a fish.
The hook and the bait
are custom made
for the kind of fish
he wants to trap.
There is pleasure in sin
for a season at least
if you go for the pleasure
you are caught with a hook.
Temptation is the bait
demons cast
death awaits you—
flee for life.

The enemy knows so well what bait we will fall for. But praise God, He has promised that with every temptation He has provided a way out (1 Cor. 10:13)! May we be faithful to “watch and pray, that we may not fall into temptation” (Mark 14:38).
